Ananya Panigrahi-Youngest participant from India in Commonwealth games

The craze for Commonwealth games is growing day by day as they are approaching in October, 2010. Indian sports stars are preparing for their best show in Commonwealth games to grab as much medals as they can. There are many young athletes, boxers, wrestlers from India participating from India but none is as small as Ananya Panigrahi who was born in Varanasi and now settled in Pune. Ananya Panigrahi just turned 14 on 15th September, 2010. At just such a small age, Ananya Panigrahi has been included in the temporary list of swimmers from India participating in Commonwealth games.

Ananya Panigrahi has many national awards in her name. She has won 100m and 200 m National Championship at Jaipur. She completed 200 m in astonishingly 2:28:29 seconds. In the year 2008, Ananya won the National Sub-Junior title held in Kolkata. Then in 2009, she won National Junior title in Jaipur. If the girl continues with same records and improves every year as she grows, Ananya will definitely be the India’s favorite competent in 2016 Olympics. There are lot of expectations from Ananya from these Commonwealth Games too.
