Three women out of nine selected for ‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award’, 2010!

‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award’ is given in India to the people excelling in the field of Science and Technology. For the year 2010, nine people have been selected for ‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award’ for their noteworthy work in the field of Science and Technology. It is for the very first time that out of these nine people, three are women. The announcement for the ‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award’ was made on 26th September, 2010 on the Foundation Day of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

All the nine recipients of ‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award’ will be given a cash award of Rs. 5 lacs with a citation plaque. The award will be given to these nine people at the end of year 2010 by Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
