Watch Window to view multiple cells at a time in Microsoft Excel 2007

In the previous article Use and steps to create Watch Window in Microsoft Excel 2007 we learnt how to create a simple Watch Window for single cell in excel. However, if there are multiple derived cells in the excel sheet we can add it to the watch window at the same time as well.

Steps to add multiple cells at a time to Watch Window in Microsoft Excel, 2007

1.       Suppose, we have 21 rows in an excel sheet. Only 14 rows are visible at a time. We have to scroll down to view the remaining rows.  We are calculating Sum, Average and Max in 19, 20 and 21st row respectively.  So we will be creating watch window for B19, B20 and B21.
Column A1: A18-->A101 to A118
Column B1: B18-->Values
Column B19-->Sum of B1 to B18
Column B20-->Average of B1 to B18
Column B21-->Maximum of B1 to B18
2.       Click on the Home tab. Go to Editing in the panel and click on the Find & Select dropdown. Select Go To Special... from the drop down.

3.       Select the Formulas radio button in the new window pop up. Click on OK button.

4.       Click on the Forumlas tab. Go to Formula Editing in the panel and select the Watch Window icon. Watch Window will appear. Click on Add Watch.
5.       Your formula cells B19, B20 and B21 will automatically reflect in the next window that you want to keep watch on. Click on Add button.
6.       Now the cells are added in the watch window showing three rows with following details:
Workbook Name: Book1
Sheet Name: Sheet1
Cell: B19, B20, B21
Value: 171000, 9500, 18000
Forumla:  =SUM(B1:B18), =Average(B1:B18), =Max(B1:B18)

7.       Now you can use the watch window to see the changes you make. Suppose, you alter A101=8000 (initial 1000). Now we don’t have to scroll down to check the Sum, Average and Max. We can directly look into the Watch Window for all these three derived values.
